24 May Successful New Residential Zone for Client in Moreland Council
As part of the residential zone amendment process at Moreland Council we put forward a submission to revise the Council’s original Neighbourhood Character Zone to a Residential Growth Zone for a client’s property in Pascoe Vale. We argued that the residential site was well placed for higher density housing given its location on the periphery of a shopping strip with a tram route close by. The Council accepted our submission and made the change prior to finalising the amendment to the Minister. We then had a lengthy wait to see if there would be any futher changes.
After months of consideration the new residential zones amendment for Moreland Council has finally been approved and the Residential Growth Zone has been retained for my client’s property (as well as for several surrounding properties). This is a fantastic result for my client and increases the possibilities for the land in the future and also provides a degree of certainty that has been absent since the amendment process commenced.
